State of the Game
April, 2025
Happy April! We’re glad to have you all with us on Legendary’s journey thus far with some exciting plans for the game in the next coming months!
A Look Back
2024 was a big year of changes for Legendary, big and small. Before we take a look at what we have planned for the future, let’s look back at some of the things that happened last year as well as so far this year:

Goals for the Rest of 2025
The goals the team has laid out for the rest of the year are exciting and will take quite a bit of work to accomplish! Here’s what we have on our goal list for you:
Spring
We will soon start an ongoing, incremental HP buff to GvG defenders. Every three months, the next set of newly released defenders will have a little more HP. New Wardens will also feature two defender skills instead of one!
Game performance and experience is a high priority for us. Investigations into crashing, lagging, and optimizations will take up the majority of our attention in this time frame. The technical challenges can be quite complex, but we are going to invest more time and effort into improving GvG performance and hopefully lowering crash rates. Another game mode that could use some attention and improvement is Slayer events. We are aware that these events tend to load more slowly than Commander events, and we want to invest some time into potential optimizations.
This spring, we will begin turning our attention to an audit and overhaul of the in-game stores and offers. There are a number of outdated and no longer valuable offers in the game, but there are so many of them out there that it can be very hard for a player to understand what IS valuable. We aim to clean up shop, kick out the outdated offers, and make it easier for you to see the things that matter to you and your game today.
A very exciting feature that we will be working on this year is an official website for Legendary! The website will house many topics of communication and information about the game including a calendar of future events, game guides, game art, developer notes and news.
Summer
Summer hopes to bring back a very missed feature that many players have asked to make a return. Global and private chat to allow you easier communication with your friends, guildmates, and other players will make a comeback!
Just like we’re refreshing the stores and offers, another summer goal is to revisit Legendary’s game modes.
We’re taking a close look at modes that may no longer feel fun or relevant, with the goal of streamlining your experience. Some modes might be retired or reworked into rewards you can earn elsewhere - so you can focus more on the parts of the game you enjoy the most.
Fall-Winter
For the final quarter of the year, our focus will be on improving the look and navigation of the game. We would like to modernize the user experience so that it is easier for you to see and find the things that are most important to you in your daily gaming experience.
The first time user experience is an important facet to new players’ first impression of the game and them gaining an understanding of how to get involved in Legendary as a game. Our final goal of the year is to improve the first time user experience so that new players have an easier time climbing the learning curve and joining the Legendary game community!
Keep in mind that these are the goals the team has for Legendary and are not final promises of features or timelines to be delivered. As much as we’d love to perfectly plan out the entire year, the reality is - we can’t.
But what we can do is share what we’re excited about and working hard to deliver for Legendary players in 2025. Big goals, ongoing efforts, and a whole lot of passion are fueling what’s ahead!
