Legendary: Game of Heroes is a wonderful, match-3 role-playing game that involves card collection of amazing Heroes, team strategy, and incredible adventure!
What are the Basics of Legendary: Game of Heroes?
Before you dive into the amazing world of Legendary: Game of Heroes, understanding the core basics is crucial!
Legendary: Game of Heroes is a match-3 game where players match colored Power Gems to attack their enemies, charge their Heroes’ abilities, and trigger powerful combos.
As players collect more Heroes and build their decks, the amount of combos and variety in gameplay strategy is infinite!
Match Gems: Matching 3 or more Gems of the same color of the Hero uses their attacks so players can defeat their enemies. The more Gems you match in a chain, the better. Power Gems can go from Rank 1 all the way to Rank 20! The higher the rank, the stronger your heroes will hit in battle!
Charge Skills: The more Power Gems that are matched together of the same color, it will charge Heroes’ of the same color’s special abilities. As a result, players can activate and show off the power that their Heroes hold in battle!
The Hero System
Legendary: Game of Heroes is a game full of all kinds of Heroes for players to collect for their decks!
Each Hero is of an Elemental Affinity, Edge, and Rarity.
Elemental Affinities: Fire, Earth, Water, Light, and Dark.
Each Element is strong against another element, while weak against another.
Fire is powerful against Earth, but weak to Water.
Water is strong against Fire, but weak to Earth.
Earth is strong against Water, but weak to Fire.
Light is strong against Dark.
Dark is strong against Light.
Edges: Commander and Slayer.
Rarity: Heroes come in different star ratings, Yellow and Pink. For Yellow, they start from 4 Yellow Stars and can go up to 6 Yellow Stars. For Pink Stars, they range from 1 Pink Star to 6 Pink Stars. Yellow is more common than Pink. Pink is also the stronger rarity between the two. The more stars a Hero has, the stronger stats and abilities that Hero has.
Heroes offer their own unique Battle Skills, Passives, and Leader Abilities that will offer bonuses to their entire team. The Leader Abilities activate when the Hero is placed in the middle slot of the player’s deck.
There are also different types of Heroes best suited for different game modes and roles in Legendary: Game of Heroes.
Event Heroes: The Heroes in your main deck. All offer their own Battle Skill, Leader Skill, and Passives at your command to earn your victories during the event MC (Master Character) and UR (Ultra Rare) Heroes are more common than the UF (Ultimate Form) Heroes. MC and UR Heroes are also able to be combined to form the UF! New Event Heroes come out EVERY week! Event Heroes are the strongest Heroes in the game during the week of their release, so don't wait to get them!
Wardens / Ultimate Wardens: Wardens are Heroes designed for defense for Guild versus Guild (GvG). They utilize their Defender Skills to cast incredible abilities to defend their team during GvG!
Dragoons: Dragoons are offense focused Heroes for GvG.
Vanguards: Similar to Wardens, Vanguards are also defensive Heroes that offer their own set of skills to defend your team in battles for GvG! Vanguards, however, offer their own unique, powerful advantages when they’re slotted in the first slot of your defender team.
This offers strategy to players and allows for players to let their creativity and brilliant tactical minds shine as they play!

Building a Strong Deck
When building your deck, always consider each Hero’s abilities, Elemental Affinity, and Edge!
Aim to have a balanced mix of offensive and defensive skills to make your decks well rounded!
The most powerful decks in Legendary: Game of Heroes focus strongly on a synergized mix of offense, defense, and leader skills to boost the deck’s effectiveness in battle!
How Does Deck Composition Work?
Before we dive into making strong decks to take on the world, we must understand the core aspects of Deck Composition!
Team Composition:
Players can form a team of five Heroes for their deck! One of these five Heroes is designated as the Leader. Every Hero offers their own unique Hero Skill, so choose wisely what you want for your deck to reach its maximum potential!
Players can set their Leader by placing their Hero in the middle slot of their Deck.
Leveling Up Heroes:
When it comes to strong decks, powerful Heroes are the heart of them! In Legendary: Game of Heroes, players can use XP materials to level up their Heroes to increase their stats and power.
Evolving Heroes:
Evolving Heroes ties in with Leveling up your Heroes! As you progress in growing your Heroes, you can evolve them by increasing their Star Rating.
As said above, the more Stars a Hero has to offer, the stronger their stats and power are in battle! Different heroes and rarities will require different materials.
So, we’ve gone over evolving your Heroes with leveling up and increasing their Star rarity. But, there is one more way to evolve your heroes, and that way, is Awakening.
Awakening your Heroes doubles their stats. However, only do this when you are completely done evolving your Heroes. The reason why is because Awakening levels are lost if you evolve the Hero during an event that offers Heroes at Max Level. In addition, you need Mana, a duplicate of the Hero you’re trying to Awaken or a Wisp of the Hero’s affinity to do this!
Ready to start evolving your Heroes? You can find out what materials your Hero needs by viewing them in your Cards and tapping the Evolve button. Power on!
Events and Dungeons
In Legendary: Game of Heroes, there are Events and Dungeons that allow players to not only show off their incredible decks, but help their Heroes grow and earn valuable rewards too!
Events: In Legendary: Game of Heroes, there are new events running every week. Each event runs for a specific Elemental Affinity and Edge. So, for example, this week is a Dark Slayer Event.
Depending on the Event, a new deck will be released for that Elemental Affinity and Edge.
In our example above, if it is a Dark Slayer Event, a new Dark Slayer deck will be released for players to collect!
Alongside a brand new, awesome deck to collect, events also provide opportunities for all players to collect rare Heroes, Rewards, and Gear by participating in Event objectives, their Guilds, and by competing on the Leaderboards too!
Guild Wars: Players can join other players in Guilds. In Guilds, you can talk to others, learn the best strategies, and do amazingly fun activities such as Guild Wars! In Guild Wars, players work with their guildmates to take on powerful enemies and earn incredible rewards!
Daily Dungeons: In these dungeons, players can complete them regularly to gather wondrously helpful rewards such as: XP materials, Evolution Materials, and Currency!
Relics
In addition to collecting Heroes and building your decks, there are also Relics that you can equip your Heroes with to help them reach their maximum potential!
Relics can offer amazing bonuses to Heroes that help increase damage output, gems, and other bonuses that can give you the upper hand in battle!
Collecting new Heroes and Relics
As much as we have talked about collecting Heroes and Relics to build amazing decks, we have to dive into the question that stands before us.
How does one collect new Heroes and Relics?
There are two types of Vaults that run every Event. The Event Vault and the Revival Vaults.
Event Vaults
The Event Vault offers players the opportunity to acquire the Event’s newly released deck!
When a new deck releases, it offers a new MC (Master Character), UR (Ultra Rare), Enemy, and UF (Ultimate Form) Hero for players to collect!
Each Hero is guaranteed at different tiers of the Vault.
Revival Vaults
The Revival Vaults are reruns of previous Event Vaults. These offer players the opportunity to acquire Heroes that they may have missed in the previous Events.
The Heroes that are in each Vault are of the Event’s Elemental Affinity and Edge.
So, if it is a Fire Commander Event, the Event Vault will be offering the latest Fire Commander Deck while the Revival Vaults will be offering the previous Fire Commander Decks.
Event Packs
Event Packs are another way to earn yourself Heroes, Evolution Materials, and Relics!
You can spend Gems to earn yourself Heroes, Relics and Materials that are being offered in the Event Pack.
Each Event Pack offers different Heroes, Relics, and Materials. Some packs only offer Heroes while others only offer Relics, and so forth.
Different rewards are offered at different tiers of each pack. So, each time you spend gems on the pack, you are guaranteed amazing rewards!
Currencies and Resources
To collect Heroes to build amazing decks, one must know the currencies and resources that are crucial in their journey through Legendary: Game of Heroes!
Gems: The premium currency that players require for summoning new Heroes from the Event Vault, replenishing their Energy, and purchasing items. Players can acquire Gems by completing quests, participating in Events, or purchasing in app or the Legendary Web Store (Often, you can find better deals or free daily claims in the webstore)!
Souls: Players can acquire Souls of Heroes which are used to Evolve their hero and increase their Rarity.
Keys: Keys are used for core gameplay of events, such as Dungeons, battling bosses, etc!
Gold: Gold is one of the currencies required for players to upgrade their Heroes.
Energy: To embark on the Campaign, it costs Energy. Energy regenerates over time and can always be replenished with Gems. Also, some special events require Energy, such as Commander Clash (explained in more detail in the In-Game Guide for Events)
Free Daily Claims: You can find free daily items in the webstore!
Tips for Beginning Players
Focusing on a Strong Team! In the beginning stages of the game, it is best to concentrate on leveling up and evolving a few key Heroes rather than focusing on several at once. If you focus on several at once, it will cause you to run out of materials quickly. Whereas if you focus on key Heroes for one team, you will be able to level them up faster and progress faster!
Join a Guild! Connecting with other players who have been playing Legendary: Game of Heroes allows you to pick up the key tricks, tips, and be able to earn amazing rewards with their help!
Participate in Events! Events run weekly, and they are an incredibly fun and effective way to earn amazing Heroes Relics, and so much more!
Never Overlook Gems! Be sure to participate to collect as many Gems as you can! Having enough Gems allows you to collect the Heroes that you want. The Heroes also run for a limited time, so be sure to keep your eye out for them!
